I am happy to know that Daffodil International University (DIU) is going to celebrate its 9th Foundation Day on February 24, 2010.
Education is the backbone of a nation. Proper education can contribute to the creation of healthy minds and worthy citizens. Education at tertiary level is of great importance, especially in the context of contemporary world passing through the complex process of globalization. If we want to survive and progress in this new world order, we have to enrich ourselves with adequate knowledge and skills. The university education can ensure consummate buildup of the graduates who would be competent enough to face all the challenges of present time and ahead. I hope DIU will keep up the right spirit that would be conducive to achieving such a noble target for the country. 

I should like to thank the DIU management for holding this auspicious occasion and wish a great success.

It gives me immense pleasure to know that Daffodil International University is going to hold its 9th Foundation Day on 24th February 2010.
Private education at the tertiary level has been a remarkable phenomenon in recent years in the context of higher education in the country. It has opened up new horizons in the field of higher education at the private level. Since its inception in February 2002, DIU has been seriously endeavoring for providing quality education in different disciplines. It is encouraging that the university authority is committed to providing quality education and research. It can also play a complementary role to give a solid base to higher education in Bangladesh by ensuring quality, competence and accountability into the system. The nation is looking up to the young graduates to fulfill its dreams and aspirations because they are truly the potential builders and architects of the nation.

With a mood of happiness and pleasure, I welcome all academics, officials and staff of Daffodil International University for taking necessary initiatives to hold the 9th Foundation Day on 24th February 2010 with due fervor and festivity.

I am proud of the significant growth of the university and recognition of its supremacy by the literate section of society. On the occasion of Foundation Day our solemn pledge will be to prepare a new generation of leaders in Bangladesh for existing and future challenges. We have to ensure quality of education at any cost and maintain our sound growth, contributing to social and economic development. We have to keep on supporting modern and IT-based education laying utmost emphasis on research. We have to construct a renewed global partnership between DIU and the international educational community to produce skilled professionals in strategic sectors necessary to catalyze the development and application of knowledge in solving practical problems.

Message of the Vice Chancellor
Daffodil International University

I am thrilled with inexplicable feelings on the eve of the observance of the 9th Foundation Day of Daffodil International University on February 24, 2010.
Daffodil International University, since its inception on January 24, 2002, has been able to establish this seat of learning as a distinguished landmark in higher education. On every Foundation Day, we the internal people of DIU assess the improvement over the last year of the university in various aspects, such as, physical development, quality staffing, employment of new curricula, volume and quality of extracurricular activities and above all enhancement of the quality education. The education that our students will receive at DIU will transform them to highly qualified and skilled graduates who will be able not only to contribute to improving socio-economic, technological and social conditions of the nation but also be able to compete with other graduates in finding suitable place in the international market. 
I thank Honorable Chairman for his endless support and every member of different committees formed for holding the occasion for their tireless efforts to make all events successful. I wish every success of this occasion.
